The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin made a working visit to the East Kazakhstan, Almaty and Karaganda oblasts, where he checked the progress of implementing of the instructions given by the Head of the State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev during his visits to the country's regions. Special attention has been drawn to the implementation of the Nurly Zhol Government Program initiated by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, with a view to developing a sustainable transport infrastructure of the country.
In the East Kazakhstan oblast Askar Mamin inspected implementation progress of Ust-Kamenogorsk-Taldykorgan road construction project. This year it is planned to open 198 kilometers of road for traffic. Altogether, the 763 km road will be opened for traffic in 2020. At the same time, reconstruction of the Kalbatau-Maikapshagai road is carried out, where 45 kilometers of roads will be completed by the end of the year.
In Almaty oblast, the Head of the Government has been reported about the status of the reconstruction works on the 314 km eastern section of the Ust-Kamenogorsk-Taldykorgan road, and about 184 km Usharal-Dostyk construction project.
In Karaganda oblast, the works on Karaganda-Balkhash road were inspected. In this project, 40 km of the road will be opened for traffic this year and opening of the entire road is planned for the end of 2020. Under the Karaganda - Temirtau and Karaganda Bypass road projects, works will be completed by the end of the year with the commissioning of 61 kilometers of roads.
The Prime Minister has given an instruction to expedite the construction works progress on the roads of the East Kazakhstan, Almaty and Karaganda oblast. At the same time, the Head of the Government emphasized the importance of ensuring the quality of the transport infrastructure being developed.
“Next year, we must ensure traffic throughout the Taldykorgan – Ust-Kamenogorsk and Karaganda – Almaty roads,” A. Mamin said.
The implementation of the infrastructure projects inspected creates additional opportunities for the development of the economy of Kazakhstan.
