This year, the first stage of the “Nurly Zhol” state program for 2015–2019 is being completed.

ASTANA, 5 March - Sputnik. The head of the Kazakhstan Government, Askar Mamin, istructed to accelerate the development of the next phase of the “Nurly Zhol” program for 2020–2025. The main function of the project is to improve the quality of life of citizens, he noted.

“Construction of new roads allows to reduce transport costs for businesses when transporting goods by at least 15%. This ultimately affects the cost and the final price for the consumer” said Askar Mamin at a Government meeting on Tuesday.

This year, the first stage of the “Nurly Zhol” state program for 2015-2019 is being completed, the implementation was successful, the Prime Minister said.

Askar Mamin focused on the fact that in four years eight thousand kilometers of roads, three thousand kilometers of heat and water supply networks were reconstructed. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers gave the task to present the concept of the program for 2020-2025 in March.

What is the “Nurly Zhol” program?

“Nurly Zhol” is a state program for infrastructure development. It was approved by President Nursultan Nazarbayev. One of the directions of the program is to strengthen the housing infrastructure.

The program influenced the growth of the country's GDP, the creation of new jobs, the increase in transit traffic flows, the emergence of modern and high-quality highways.

In 2018, over 80 thousand work places were created within the framework of “Nurly Zhol”, this year it is planned to create four thousand work places.
