World Bank Mission comleted the field trips of the 24 Nos. of Contracts of Kyzylorda, South-Kazakhstan and “Shymkent-Zhambyl oblast border” Road sections. The World Bank Mission started their trips to the project contract sites on March 31, 2014.
The main objective of the mission’s filed trips as part of the World Bank end of the project implementation period was to carry out the Project Performance against the Project Performance indicators each of the contracts under South – West Road Projects: Western Europe – Western China International Transit Corridor financed by the World Bank.
The World Bank mission representatives comprise the following members:

2. Mr. Robert Seekings, World Bank Consultant, Azerbaijan
3. Mr. Sadig Aliyev, Infrastructure Specialist, WB, Azerbaijan
4. Mr. Bakyt Arystanov, WB Consultant, Kazakhstan
5. Mr. Alexei Slenzak, Senior Operations Officer, Environment, WB, Ukraine
6. Mr. Nurbek Kurmanaliyev, Procurement Specialist, WB, Kazakhtan
KazDorNII PMC coordinated the WB Mission field trips and meetings with the “KazAutoZhol” JSC Regional Branches’ Directors and Deputy Directors, Engineers and Contractors to carry out the performance evaluation of the various contracts in consultation with the Committee for Roads and “KazAutoZhol” JSC. Mr. Kazi M. Hasan, Team Leader and Mr. Zhandos Amanbayev, Project Coordinator of PMC accompanied the World Bank mission during their field trips and meetings along with the representatives of the abovementioned organisations.
On 8th April World Bank started the same activity in the East-West project (Almaty-Khorgos Road sections).
After the completion of field trips World Bank will submit their Project Performance Review Report to the Employer for their information and necessary actions.
