At the end of last year, NC “KazAutoZhol” signed a Contract for the reconstruction of “Aktobe – Kandyagash” section, from km 11-100.

The project is included in the State Program of Infrastructure Development “Nurly Zhol” for 2020-2025. The contracting organizations “SineMidasStroy” and “Todini Constructioni” JV LLP and “Akzhol Kurylys” LLP/”AzVirt” LLC/”Assana DorStroy” LLP JV are involved in the reconstruction work.. Technical supervision is being carried out by “Dongsung Engineering Co., Ltd”. (Korea) together with Sub-consultant ZS Engineering LLP (Kazakhstan). Designer’s supervision –“Engineering Center” “Astana” LLP and “DI “Kostanaidorproject” LLP.

At the reconstruction sites, 484 Nos. of personnel have been mobilized, 220 Nos. of equipment and 3 Nos. Subcontracting organizations are being involved in the above reconstruction work.

Construction and installation works began commenced on April 12 this year. 292 thous. m3 of sub-grade have been constructed. Road building materials procured - 169 thous. m3 of reinforced concrete products - 2.5 thous. m3, bitumen - 3.5 thousand tons.

According to the reconstruction project, the upgraded updated road will be transferred to Category I-B with 4-lane traffic from Aktobe to the entrance of Kandyagash and Category II with 2-lane traffic (18.2 km) bypass of Kandyagash.

Also, 18 Nos. of bridge structures, 66 Nos. of culverts will be constructed, a road maintenance department and a road maintenance depot will be built for the maintenance of this road section. The project is scheduled to be completed in 3 years.
