4,400 km of republican roads have constructed and reconstructed last year. This quantity off road works is registered for the first time in Kazakhstan.
Last year, traffic was opened on 641 kilometers of republican roads. Currently the drivers can use 61 km section of the Temirtau-Karganda-Balkhash-Kapshagai road. In addition, traffic has been allowed on 249 km of the Center-East corridor. To date, 16 km of Kokshetau - Petropavlovsk – border of the Russian Federation are also open for the traffic. Moreover, 85 km of the Beineu-Akzhigit road section, 18 km of Taskesken-Bakhty, 80 km of Schuchinsk-Zerenda, 26 km of the Kandyagash-Makat road, 73 km of Zhetibay-Zhanaozen and 34,4 km of Nur-Sultan Bypass are functioning after reconstruction.
438 km of roads were overhauled in 2019, out of which 24 km were commissioned. Also, last year, road workers carried out an average repair of 1,101 km, including 424 km using recycling method, 256 km with construction of pavement, 414 km with SSB, and 7 km of pavement were repaired using microsurfacing technology.
According to the results of last year, in Kazakhstan 21,900 km or 88% of republican roads are in good and satisfactory condition. The share of roads of Categories I and II was brought up to 34% and amounted to 8,400 km.
