Presently, reconstruction works are being carried out in Mangistau oblast on republican roads R-1 “Beineu - Akzhigit - border of the Republic of Uzbekistan” with a length of 85 km and the A-34 “Zhetybai - Zhanaozen - Kendirli - border of Turkmenistan” 73 km road.

So, “Beineu-Akzhigit-border of the Republic of Uzbekistan (to Nukus)” road will be reconstructed up to parameters of the Category II. By the end of this year, it is planned to complete the construction of an overpass, RMD and a heating station for 85 km, as well as to complete all road works, furnishing and commissioning.

It is worth noting that 332 people and 155 nos. of equipment are involved in the works on site.

At the same time, this 73 km “Zhetybai - Zhanaozen - Kendirli - border of the Republic of Turkmenistan” republican road will be reconstructed up to Category Ib with 4-lanes and a carriageway of 27.5 m wide.

To date, road workers have performed earth works, constructed asphalt and binder pavement courses, as well as 15 nos. of reinforced concrete culverts. Meanwhile, reconstruction and construction of RMDs are planned for 2019 in Zhanaozen and Shetpe.

At the moment, about 800 nos. of Personnel and 565 nos. of Road Equipment are involved in the works. The road will be equipped in accordance with the requirements of traffic safety: a barrier will be installed along the median; the site will be equipped with new road signs and marking.

It is planned to complete the project by the end of 2019.
