ROADCONSTRUTION WORKS PROGRESS ON TALDYKORGAN – KALBATAU – UST-KAMENOGORSK ROAD IN EAST KAZAKHSTAN OBLAST

Currently, reconstruction worksare being carried out on 9 road sections of the Taldykorgan-Kalbatau-Ust-Kamenogorsk road in the East Kazakhstan oblast. Road workers continue implementing earthworks, construction of bridges and cattle crossings, 82 culverts have already been constructed, and the high-performance asphalt concrete courses were constructed in some areas as well.

It is notable that the main purpose of the road reconstruction is to bring the road from the Category III to Category II, widening carriageway up to 9 meters and achieving design speed up to 120 km/h.

Full completion of the project is planned in 2022.
