The total length of the road is 363 kilometers.
In words of press secretary of KazAvtoZhol NC JSC Bauyrzhan Serikbayev construction of Karaganda-Balkhash road will be started in August 2018, BNews.kz correspondent informs.
To recap, to realize the project, a loan was taken out from Exim Bank of China.
According to Bauyrzhan Serikbayev, the design specifications and estimates have already prepared. Three general contractors have defined as well. It is expected the construction of this section of the road will be completed until the autumn of the 2020 year.
The total length of the road is 363 kilometers. Following the road’s construction, the item Centre-South will be removed.
The section of the Karaganda-Balkhash road, 363 kilometers long, is part of the national highways of the Republic of Kazakhstan (to Yekaterinburg) - Almaty, through the cities of Kostanay, Astana, Karaganda and one of the sections of the "Centre-South" corridor of the Astana-Karaganda-Balkhash- Kapchagai-Almaty.
This may a construction consortium consisting of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., KazGerStroy JV LLP and KazavtoZhol NC JSC signed an agreement on the start of the reconstruction of the 4-1855 km section of the Karaganda-Balkhash road within the Center-South corridor.
The signing ceremony was attended by first deputy Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, CITIC Construction Co., Ltd President Tao Yang, Chairman of Board of KazAvto Zhol NC JSC Yermek Kizatov and representatives of the Kazakh-Chinese consortium.
