Today in the Government press center the Chairmen of the Committees for Roads and Transport of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan took stock of the Nurly Zhol Program implementation for 2017.
According to Mereke Pshembayev, the Chairman of the Committee for Roads MID RK, during this year construction works have continued on the projects: “Center-South” on Temirtau-Karaganda road section, including bypass of Karaganda city; “Center-East” on Astana-Pavlodar-Semei-Kalabatau, Beineu-Aktau, Aktobe-Atyrau, Kapshagai-Taldykorgan, Astana-Petropavlovsk and Uralsk-Kamenka road sections with the total length 1.2 thousand km.
Together with the previously approved projects implementation of six new projects financed by the Government has started including Beineu-Akzhigit, Shchuchinsk-Zerenda, Taskesken-Bakhty, Usharal-Dostyk, Ossinovskiy pass, Kostanai-Denisovka with the total length of 511 km.
"In 2018-2019 we plan to continue the construction and reconstruction of 4,4 thousand km of roads, to overhaul 800 km, to carry out medium repair of 6.2 thousand km of republican roads," - M. Pshembayev said.
Next year, it is planned to complete the Astana-Pavlodar road section of the “Center-East” Road Project, Temirtau-Karaganda road section, Uralsk-Kamenka road with access to Saratov and Taskesken-Bakhty.
In this year, the introduction of tolling system has started on the roads Astana-Temirtau, Almaty-Kapshagai and Almaty-Khorgos. The annual tolling fee is planned to be about 4 billion tenge. By 2020, the annual tolling fee will be about 30 billion tenge.
In general, based on the results of the work carried out, it is planned to improve the condition of 90% of the republican roads, to increase the share of roads of the I and II-technical category by 50%, which will double the capacity of the loaded sections of roads and cargo transportation, and reduce travel time by 1.5 times.
