About 100 thousand people will be involved in implementation of road projects in the framework of “Nurly zhol” state program in 2016. Overall, 200 thousand working places will be created during reconstruction in peak period of 2017-2019 at all projects. Moreover, all domestic producers of cement, road bitumen, inert materials, as well as reinforced concree products will be involved for project implementation.

According to the results of 2016 it is planned to open passage throughout Western Europe – Western China transit corridor, Beineu – Shetpe, Astana – Temirtau, Almaty – Kapshagai, Kapshagai – Taldykorgan sections and also to complete construction of bridge across Irtysh river. The total length of all projects is 1 thoudsand km.

Implementation of 11 road projects is stipulated under radial principle of effective and qualitative transport communication “Nurly Zhol” state program for connection of cities – hubs. 7 thousand km of roads will be tr4ansfered to  I &  II technical category.

Reference: In 2015 the works were held under 8 projects: Western Europe – Western China, Center - South, Center-East, Center - West, Almaty – Oskemen, Astana – Petropavl, Aktobe-Atyrau, Oral-Kamenka. 2 thousand km roads were covered by construction works. 72 thousand people were involved duting project implementation.

Overall, at 2015 year-end basis, 456 km of roads of I & II technical category were constructed and reconstructed, including works completed under key projects 144 km under Western Europe – Western China, 62 km under Center - South, 100 rv under Center – East and 52 km under Center – West.
